This study delves on the interplay between the radio industry and the gay anchors by filling the gap of reality that only few gay anchors ventured radio broadcasting.

This study’s main problem is assessed the perceived credibility of gay anchors in promoting and advocating Filipino arts and culture through their radio show, Badtalks. In doing this, the manner of delivery and the kind of language used by anchors were analyzed, assessed and evaluate by the audience of Brgy. Kaunlaran, Cubao, Quezon City, they were selected through purposive sampling.

Social Judgment Theory (SJT) and the Linguistic Relativity Hypothesis were used to guide this study. The researchers used three latitudes in assessing the credibility of gay anchors: the latitude of acceptance, rejection, and noncommitment.

This study demands highly qualitative method with the helped of a textual analysis, focus group discussion and a focus interview. 

Result of the study shows that out of ten (10) participants, only four (4) accepted the credibility of gay anchors which falls on the latitude of acceptance, while, one (1) participant rejected which falls on the latitude of rejection and four (4) are on their neutral view which falls on the latitude of noncommitment. Meanwhile, the participant who falls on the noncommitment shared the twelve possible measures to test the credibility of the Badtalkers such as popularity, self-image, review of profiles, proof and evidence, source of information, expertise, age, track records, achievements and awards, educational attainment, message, and the manner of information gathering for broadcast.
