Goal setting is not wishing or dreaming. It is something that is progressively worked towards. The topic of the research is stated as “A Study Of Goal Setting And Academic Achieevement Among Selected Practising Teachers Of Coimbatore District In Tamil Nadu”.(2011) The study concluded that in goal setting The male and female practicing teachers do not differ in goal setting. Tamil and English medium practicing teachers do not differ in goal setting. In academic achievement the male and female practicing teachers do not differ in academic achievement.Tamil and English medium practicing teachers do not differ in academic achievement. In Correlation the calculated r – value 0.13 is significant at 0.05 level of significance. Thus it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between Goal setting and academic achievement among the practicing teachers.Hence, the null hypothesis is rejected.
