2. In what observational science process skill(s) do the students should acquire and develop?
3. Based on the findings of the study, what science activities or strategies can be proposed to practice and develop the science process skills of the students?

This study is limited to the assessment of observational science process skills of the third year high school students of the Holy Trinity College, Bato, Camarines Sur during the school year 2006-2007.

The descriptive survey method of research was employed since the process of the study involves gathering, analyzing, classifying, and tabulating data about the prevailing conditions of the respondents.

The instrument used to gather data were the checklist-rating scale. The said instrument is used to determine whether a particular characteristic or behavior is present or absent among the students. The observation rating scale were patterned from the work of Hannah and Michaelis (1978) about the number of science process or inquiry skills with additional key abilities. The distribution of checklist-rating scale was conducted for two-days. The statistical tools employed were ranking system and weighted mean.
